Fit for the future
The introduction of a new refrigerant means that brand-bound workshops have to work with two different A/C service systems. This is because commonly used R 134a service stations cannot be retrofitted for operation with R 1234yf refrigerant. Against this backdrop AirCon specialist Dometic WAECO presents the latest addition to its well known ASC series of A/C service units, the ASC 5000.
The market launch coincides with the introduction of new vehicle models. The development team around Chief Engineer Franz-Josef Esch conceived the R 1234yf-based service station in close cooperation with the automotive industry and made sure to include features that qualify the unit as a perfect “teammate” in the workshop.
With its latest product innovation, too, Dometic WAECO clearly banks on quality made in Germany. Design, engineering, production as well as marketing and sales are now as before based in Emsdetten, north-west Germany, to maintain the outstanding features and reliability Dometic WAECO products are known for. When creating the new WAECO ASC 5000, the engineers have set great store by integrating features which have stood and passed the test of practice.
